 We are seeking a Demand Planner to join our Supply Chain team.

The Demand Planner is responsible for providing trade channel forecasts using historical data, statistical analysis and input from Sales, Marketing, Business Insights, Finance and Supply. This individual will maintain a valid 5 year forecast while monitoring sales and product availability to maintain accuracy. In addition, the individual will be responsible for communicating results to key stakeholders. This role can be based out of our Oakville or Grimsby head offices.

 We are looking for a teammate with:

  • Bachelor's degree required - Business, Math, Economics, Accounting or Science.
  • Forecasting experience with marketing, sales or demand planning is required.
  • 2-5 years experience within supply chain; preferably on the demand side.
  • Good understanding of sales with a multi-channel national organization.
  • Highly proficient computer skills, especially Microsoft Excel. Preference will be given to experience within Oracle environment or other ERP software.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to detect patterns or trends in large amounts of data.
  • Ability to translate complex analysis into simple communications.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent organization skills with the ability to multi task.
  • Must have a continuous improvement and attention to detail mindset.
  • Well-developed wine knowledge will be considered an asset.

 This teammate will be accountable for the following responsibilities:

  • Generate item trade channel forecasts in both volume and revenue, using sales history and inputs from Sales, Marketing, Business Insights, Finance and Supply.
  • Model plan based on shipment trends, statistical projections, promotional plans, and forecast assumptions.
  • Analyze and monitor performance to forecasts and actively work with stakeholders to ensure forecast accuracy.
  • Make necessary adjustments to consensus plan to reflect changing trends.
  • Model promotional forecasts and assigns causal factors.
  • Lead Regional Demand Management Review (RDMR) meetings with Sales, Marketing, Business Insights, Finance and Supply to discuss exceptions in past performance, review assumptions, risks and opportunities, and reach consensus on variances to the sales forecast and Business Plan.
  • Identify abnormal forecast consumption and communicate to Sales, Marketing, Business Insights and Demand Manager.
  • Work closely with Marketing, Business Insights and Sales to forecast new products.
  • Monitor performance vs. forecast and Business Plan and provides detailed input to Sales and Marketing for use in the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process.
  • Provide input and analysis for use in Demand Management Review (DMR) meetings.
  • Assist in development and documentation of forecast assumptions.
  • Assist with the management of item child-parent relationships to ensure sell through of proper vintage.
  • Maintain and utilize forecasting "tools" and methodologies as established by the IBP process.
  • Provide assistance and scenarios to the sales organization for use in the IBP process.
  • Work with Product Management, Sales and Supply on data flows to support Integrated Business Planning.
  • Participate in the development, modification and improvement of policies and procedures with respect to demand planning and forecasting.
  • Follow safe work procedures and practices and report all unsafe working conditions / hazards to their Manager.
