We are seeking a Retail and On-Premise Sales Associate to join our Ontario Sales Team for a 6-month contract. This role will be based in the GTA, with travel to Muskoka & Nothern Ontario. Reporting into the Field Sales Manager, the Sales Associate will be responsible for supporting the Retail and On-Premise Territory Managers in the field through merchandising and strong sell-through of APL products with a focus on No Boats on Sunday Cider and Wayne Gretzky Rye Lager. The Sales Associate will represent specific products at consumer events throughout the summer months and maintain and build relationships with LCBO store staff, on premise customers and grocers.

We are looking for a teammate with:

  • Experience in the beverage industry an asset
  • WSET II or III is an asset
  • Smart Serve certified
  • Degree in Business or Marketing
  • Ability to meet travel requirements within the GTA, Muskoka and Northern ON
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and the occasional overnight Support 60 grocers, and LCBO or On-Premise accounts as required.
  • A Valid driver's license, proof of insurance and access to a reliable vehicle is required, to travel to various sites.
  • Knowledge of ergonomics and safe work practices  

This teammate will be accountable for the following:

  • Build brand awareness and ensure strong sell-through of No Boats on Sunday Cider and APL products through in-field execution of promotional programs.
  • Primarily support cider & beer with additional support on wine brands as needed
  • Merchandising: Audit LCBO stores ensuring bin tags, shelf placement, promotional signage (Limited Time Offer & Bonus Airmiles) are applied
  • Displays: Where applicable, build in-store displays
  • Staff Tastings: Support Retail Territory Manager by following up on new product listings and by tasting staff. Assist in the achievement of targeted sales distribution for Territory Manager. That may include:  Fridge Placements & Ad hoc Displays
  • Events: Represent APL and No Boats on Sunday at targeted events pouring and providing customer education
  • Operate territory, providing monthly expense update and operating within approved and agreed upon goals and objectives effectively and in a timely manner
  • Arrive at work, appointments, meetings, and all work-related functions on time and as scheduled
  • Other duties as assigned by Ontario Sales Team and Manager
