We are currently seeking hospitality focused individuals for a handful of roles at Black Hills Winery. We offer a unique seated and guided tasting experience for which we are hiring Vineyard Kitchen Servers for the season April 2020 to October 2020.

Black Hills Estate Winery is situated on the scenic Black Sage Bench in Oliver, British Columbia and has been producing premium wine in this region since 1999. Known for the Nota Bene Bordeaux inspired blend, our focus is precise vineyard management, minimal intervention in the winery, and world class wine experiences offered to the thousands of visitors we see annually.

The Vineyard Kitchen Servers will provide seamless and exceptional food service from our Vineyard Kitchen, including assisting other teammates and assessing areas of the business which require additional assistance.

We are looking for teammates with:

  • A passion for the hospitality industry
  • An interest in using/acquiring wine knowledge
  • Exceptional communication skills both verbal and non-verbal
  • The ability to work under pressure and in very fast paced environments
  • Ability to be a brand ambassador and convey our message with genuine pride
  • Due to our seated tasting format, you will get bonus points if you have restaurant experience.

Teammates will be accountable for:

  • Expediting food orders with grace & efficiency
  • Assess customer satisfaction with their meal and service
  • Assisting teammates with clearing and re-setting tableware
  • Ability to multi-task and manage instances where customer complaints or concerns are brought up
  • Maintaining cleanliness of the wine shop, and keeping up with the polishing of wine glasses throughout each day
  • Understanding and following work safe practices
