Are you looking for an opportunity to develop and grow an emerging business in an international market? We're looking for an International Key Account/Market Development Manager who will focus on developing and executing the Wayne Gretzky Whisky business in the US domestic market through building and maintaining strong distributor partnerships. The successful candidate will have exceptional interpersonal abilities, strategic analysis experience, strong attention to detail and thrive in a collaborative environment. The role is based in office (20% travel).

The successful candidate will be accountable for:

  • Managing the distributor network to meet revenue, profit and distribution targets.
  • Designing, implementing, and evaluating commercial strategies for key customers.
  • Researching consumer markets, monitoring trends and observing competitors' activities to proactively identify opportunities and key issues.
  • Developing the annual territory budget.
  • Interpreting monthly P&L statements and responding to discoveries.
  • Collaborating with the marketing, finance, demand and logistics teams by providing ongoing market research to inform decisions regarding promotional campaigns, pricing and forecasts.
  • Measuring ROI of strategies implemented in market and providing insights for future planning.
  • Presenting plans, updates and projections to the sales team and other key stakeholders.  
  • Following safe work procedures/practices; report any unsafe working conditions/hazards to the Manager.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications/skills:

  • Post-secondary education (Business or Marketing program preferred).
  • 3 - 5 years' experience in Sales and/or Marketing in the beverage alcohol or CPG industries.
  • Experience developing and evaluating sales strategy and achieving targets through a sales/distribution team.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a proactive, action-oriented approach.
  • Exceptional ability to time manage and prioritize.
  • Exemplary customer service skills; including product knowledge and problem solving.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs with a focus on Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability for travel (~20% of time) and some weekend work.
  • Ability to accommodate a flexible work schedule due to International time zones.
