The position of Processing Team Member is responsible for working with other packaging team members to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the packaging line. The incumbent must have a strong attention to detail, ability to problem solve, and are comfortable and able to stand for majority of shift.

The successful candidate will be accountable for:

  • Ensuring all the correct packaging additives are staged and ready for production. ( Use the Production work orders for verification)
  • The cleanup of immediate work station. Sweeping of floor daily and washed daily as required. From shrink wrap to filler.
  • Repacking product ensure that all materials used in the production packaging process are accounted for on the repack log form with and submit copies to Inventory Control designate daily.
  • Ensuring all repacks are completed after regular production and before the end of your regular shift, clean all safety glass on packaging equipment daily; time permitting.
  • Cleaning style sticker equipment of dust, debris and ill placed stickers daily as regular time permits.
  • Maintaining smooth running transfer rollers by cleaning off hardened glue.
  • Cleaning off fluorescent emergency fire hose coverers weekly.
  • Ensuring small garbage containers in packaging area are emptied and washed by end of each shift.
  • Assisting with cleaning up leakers on the production line.
  • The timely change out of style stickers at end of each production runs. Also the staging of stickers for each proceeding run and the return to storage of stickers just finished.
  • Following safe work procedures and practices and reports all unsafe working conditions / hazards to their reporting Manager.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications/skills:

  • High school diploma.
  • GMP/SOP knowledge and exposure.
  • Lean manufacturing experience.
