We are looking for a dynamic Logistics Coordinator to join our Andrew Peller Imports team!

This position is responsible for assisting the National Operations Manager in day to day administrative tasks, process improvements and sales and marketing support.   

The successful candidate will be accountable for:

  • Responsible for the administration, tracking and transferring of all Andrew Peller Import products nationally according to the National Operations Manager Direction

Inventory Administration

  • Maintain master inventory status reports for each province; create, enter and follow up of purchase orders nationally
  • Ensure current NAFTA Agreements and Certificates of Origin from suppliers
  • Maintain product information across all liquor boards
  • Ensure data integrity of provincial liquor board inventory and purchase order records as well ensure product registration and listing applications are in accordance with liquor board requirements and in collaboration with the respective sales managers and suppliers
  • Ensure accuracy of all purchase order requests and amendments, reconciling pricing, quantities and receipts, update master pricing records per province
  • Process inter provincial transfers; ensure shipments are shipped according to APIs demand requirements and shipping requirements outset by the supplier
  • Process and monitor special orders and cross docks and communicate anomalies and events of interest to sales and marketing

Purchase Orders / Accounting

  • Enter all purchase orders into ORACLE and Master PO tracker, file electronic originals
  • Approve all Container World invoices, receiving invoices, Connect Logistics invoices and supplier invoices for accounting recording all PID's and Oracle PO numbers on each invoice
  • Liaise with APL accounting to rectify discrepancies in pricing and/or stock

Costing

  • Accurate and timely form preparation and filing of all price changes, temporary price reductions and LTO's under the direction of the National Operations Manager
  • Liaise with accounting to ensure all landed costs are up to date and accurate and maintain data on costing for new or potential products

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications/skills:

  • Ability to demonstrate creativity and analytical thinking for certain accountabilities
  • Ability to manager and complete regimented daily, weekly and monthly tasks.
  • Technically minded with prior knowledge in; Excel, Access, Word, Oracle, COGNOS & PowerPoint
  • Effective communication across functions and with external customers and partners.
  • Teamwork; excellent working relationships with all departments and external partners.
  • Experience in business with an understanding of end to end processes and basic accounting principals
  • High attention to detail, problem solving and a mind for logical process building.
  • Strong desire to learn and continuously improve own abilities and company processes
  • Wine Knowledge and able to travel
